Tournament Number 8 is coming this July! All information around each event will be updated regularly on this thread.
The Tournament period will take place during the period of 3rd July - 17th July (ish) and will feature the 40k, Warhammer, Magic and Painting Tournaments ending in the annual paintball.
All events will take place in Ormskirk, 40k and Warhammer at the New Arena (its looking much worse for wear but will do just for this Tourney) and a tent will be pitched and an outdoor bbq will be on. The Magic Tournament is schedueled to take place at the Comrades Club in Ormskirk.
Entry closes at the end of this month. Draws will take palce in the second week in June.

what is the point in quoting something when its the very next post above? If you want to enter just say and you'll be 'on the books' as they say. And posts do say more info will be available soon.

Can we put a £10 entrance fee on the 40k Tournament please? There is a new box set of scenery out. It costs £100 and I think its got like 16 buildings in it. £10 is a small price to pay for everyone considering the facilites we get to use. And this set would greatly inhance the tournament, city fight terrain is exactly what our tables are missing. Id of bought it myself, but ive just spent £250 on forge world stuff, most terrain, so I think everyone else should chip in a bit for the benefit of all

I've built a load of city fight-esque scenery, and I wouldn't really want to pay for entry to any tournament except Magic (where all you do is simply buy the cards for your deck)...

Yeah.. but its hardly paying.. its just putting some money together to make our games much more enjoyable (and better). Ive spent Hundreds on scenery over the past few years.. £10 isnt much to ask for a really great set of buildings

Its a nice idea but weve always operated on a no fee basis really. Though charging an entry fee mighty halt some players from simply giving up. However im still inclined to carry on with no fee's, the only reasion theres a magic charge is because you pay for the cards you play with (and keep)
Unless everyone is willing to pay the £10 id say goive it a miss. Put it to a poll!

Argh, it just seems like theres only a handful of people who will put money time and effort into terrain building. Quality tables are an important part of the hobby, and we have identified that our tables are currently bare, affecting the quality of game play.

you can get a smaller boxed set for about £50 I think and it builds 3 buildings. They're a fairly decent size. I might have enough money spare to get them for the tournament.

Well if theres at least a few of us we may aswell chip in together and get the £100 box. Its actually a bloody good deal on scenery for a change

So maybe if the core members put in £20 each?
Mike, Charly, Luke, Simon, Me.
It really is the kind of scenery we are lacking, it will dence our tables up a LOT, providing some really fun infantry battles

more scenery the better, city scape would be amasing. we need to stop those guard tanks dammit! as mike rightly pointed out tho theres no point having anything much above 2 stories high (dont want to spend half the battle climbing a ladder) and everything should be open topped for easy access.
