Been looking into this and apparently there is a store in St Helens that has FNM.
I sent an email requesting more information.
Would anyone else be interested in going down there and entering the tournaments say, once a month?

Yes. Yes it is. mmm.... Hentai.
Anyway, I'm the man with the plan! If they run standard games for DCI pionts I'll book off Fridays at work to play. I will be working on a killer deck that I genuinely want to take to tournements in search of a juicy cash prize. I'll talk more on this further on, but I encourage a team OGC to test, use and hopefully win with this deck.

If all else fails, I can work with Out There guy to host FNM. Don't ask...

I think that they award wins with limited edition foils with the FNM hologram in the text box. If anyone's interested: www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=events/magic/fnmIf Out there guy (AKA Chris, I think) will agree to do this, it would save the hassle of a journey and increase OCG...erm...togetherness. Although I can see Luke ending up with a whole deck made of FNM cards in a year's time!! All we would need is a venue, as there is no way we could play in the shop, which I think is the norm at these things.

Edge Hill. We can requisition a room pretty handy.

Damn You Wizards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
sent an e-mail to the store and apparently they closed down in November, this explains much. Yet wizards are still advertising them as a location for FNM. If we want to get Edghe Hill as a venue we will need atleast 8 players weekly, something the OGC meeting haven't achieved since October/November, also all FNM decks MUST be Standard Type 2, so that's Rav block, Kamigawa Block and 9th ed Only
