I'm plugging everywhere else, so I'll plug here too. Every Monday, starting from a few weeks ago, I'm putting up a short story. It's Heralded Stories, in the Krewmembers Lounge, at www.krewmembers.comI've started to get a few people from here and there to read them. I'm actually getting some positive feedback too. People seem to like The Daily Grind. Feedback from you guys please!

Heres some quick mike reviews of Lukes stories; Miraclinoleum - 3/5 entertaining at least, not much to refelct upon but fits nicely in a compilation [use as breaker between two really good stories when all these get put into a book?] Daily Grind - 5/5 pretty impressive, brutal yet with a point. I dont like animal violence (thats my own writing rule) but it really hammered point home here. [in a compo have this early, its intriguing and pretty original, so it'll be hated and banned by Bill] Final Work of Alex Fisher - 4/5 at first I thought it was a bit crap but then I had a think about it, intriguing [put near end of compo] Broken Moon - 2/5 this wasnt really great and the wound description made me hungry...thats 6 hours in the library for you still better than beast house and that GOT published. Under the Bridge - 2/5 wasnt too convinced by this, it felt like it was going somewhere but ultimately didnt. Sickness and Cure - 1/5 this seems to try and do several things at once and doesnt seem to have any focus. Plus half of the story is a fairly pointless conversation. The Eagle Flies - 4/5 pretty good, had a hint of Feist about it [needs editing] JayKay - 2/5 first half is good, then the explanation goes on for too long...SH4 Is it Just Me Or... - 1/5 Okay, you went uptown with your flies undone....(with amendment...and then found out you'd fallen in some paint) The Best Job in the World - 1/5 Whilst the idea is sound its not well executed at all. Political satire is best served in a not so obvious in the face manner, sorry didnt enjoy it :/ The world of Tomorrow - 1/5 - what the hell? Luke, this is so badly written it makes you rbetter ones seem stolen. An economy is not this simple! Padfoot - 2/5 - interesting, but the way it is a past tense conversation takes out any real suspense or interest Beginning of the End Chained people Yo unever know what, or why Mike's suggested order so far; Daily grind -> mirac -> broken moon -> under bridge -> eagle flies -> Padfoot -> sick cure -> World of Tomorrow -> best job in world -> alex fisher -> jaykay -> Is it just me Alone in the Infinte - Will not score- add to OGC main site though, it works as a 40k enlightener, so i guesss theres no need to think of it as being in your main circuit. - this doesnt mean I think its bad! Poems - not too bad really

Cheers Mike. Getting feedback has been an uphill struggle. Any comments on what I'm doing now will effect what I write later. Anyone who does read my stories should get in there with their views and opinions.

what mike meant about best job in the world luke is that your satirical portrait only scrathes the surface and sounds oblique rather than insightul. that's my interpretation of what mike said because i haven't read the work he is referring to, but that just seemed like an interesting review. sorry to butt in

I just want to beg for feedback here, I'm hoping someone checks out the blue spot. You can get to my stories from www.ogc.org.uk now too and if I don't get much in the way of feedback I'll have trouble improving. All and ANY criticism welcome. I want to know what I'm doing wrong as much as what I'm doing right.
