Rule 3 is one I was very guilty of breaking. As the DM, I was in charge of the story, and if it would be more fun to have a certain event happen or not happen, I would make it go the way I wanted it to go. You know, sort of along the lines of rolling a die for no real reason, just to make your players a little bit nervous.  The other ones, though, I am in complete agreement with. Although the bolt-of-blue-lightning was something I never had to reesort to. ;D |
