From what I can gather, there is no danger of Raiden popping his head up...but it could all be some horrible trap to entice Raiden haters back into the fold and then he'll appear at the end...

I think it will be more like 24 hrs (at the most if u get stuck). That is, of course, unless you play through it 3 times...

So weve had 24 hours to get to grips with this title. What does everyone think? Ive played about 6 so far, had 9-5 lectures yesterday and I fell asleep at midnight The opening bit seemed like a training level, anyone notice how the stamina gauge did not deplete or the enmies did nearly no damage? That itself took about 3 hours, though about half of that was cut scenes After that though, the game gets started, I particualr enjoy how once you get seen your in big trouble, the enemies will lace grass your hiding in with gunfire and they really do scour the area, its pretty difficult to escape, though on normal you can take a lot of damage you are preety much dead once youve been spotted. The camoufloage is ace to and adds to allthis. The AI is taken up a level, and as I said before, theres no escape! As for how long it'll last, I dont know but ive just killed my first boss (another escaped) and its taken 6 houyrs, which is about two thirds of MGS 2 time! IGN on this said; Lasting Appeal It's easy to see people playing through at least twice if not many more times than that. Different strategies and the frog hunt are the carrots on the stick for replayability here.
