So how does everyone rate the Kamigawa block. I personally enjoyed it, it was itnersting and had some awesome artwork. My biggest complaint i throw those crds into anyhting other then Kamigawa only and witness the horror (sorry, Luke but finding examples is nothing compared to what has happened din actual games = cue essay on Urza block). Thius block revolutiosned the way I wanted to play Magic. Basiucally it was soemthing new and so warranted ebing cycle exclkusive and whence playing out of mono block from Kamigawa onwards simply means i just wont pay. I'll keep my mirridon and backwards decks but only now i have seen the light. mono blockls are the cheapest and most fun ways to play, theory is one thing actually playing is another. Remember Magic is for enjoying not for living....

although I enjoyed some of the mechanics, Bushido for example and I like the samurai and ninja, most of the spirit cards just didn't appeal to me, and so I was only interested in a fraction of what I got, but what I did get I liked

I enjoyed the new perspectives brought to the hobby. I have to complain that it does have the most useless waste of space cards ever printed since Invasion block though (Which had some damn dire crap shoved into it). And I can't agree with Mike. I like building strange decks, it's half of the fun. Deck constructed might work for Mike, he makes a deck as best as he can and leaves it like that (rebels anyone?). I change my decks on a regular basis, completely destroying them and putting them back together again. If there was a cut off point put into OGC rulings them that's half the fun of Magic gone for me.

i really like the themes of the set, the only things that gets me is the overuse of legends, in other sets Legends where something you hoped, prayed in the slight chance you'd get what you want. But in this block everything's legendary, alot of it is crap, which imo weakens the card class.

Kamigawa was the Legend set, every single rare creature was a legend then there were hordes of uncommon legends. There were even legendary Sorcery cards with the Epic ability!

I've just had a thought! Kiki-Jiki meets Goblin Piledriver! You don't even have to worry about losing it then! EVIL!

It's good for a red SB, although not so much within OGC. I have two dedicated spirit decks and that's about it :/ Worth having though, you never know what the new influx of players will bring.
