Gray Mare's tail at Llanwryst looks promising as a simple overnight walk. Info : www.bbc.co.uk/wales/northwest/sites/walks//pages/grey_mares_tail.shtmlWe will be getting the train from Liverpool Lime Street at 1430 on Saturday afternoon (arriving 16:54) and getting the train back on Sunday at 15:40 (arriving 1900). Stuff to do on the train is recommended ie reading or Magic, pack them in a small bin-liner to keep thigns waterproofed! It should cost about £11.95 for the train, £15 without a railcard. If you dont already have a railcard though I'd recommend one, its £20 and gives you a 1/3 off all rail tickets in the UK for a year. Also the national rail website is being a pain in the arse and refusing to alow me to check prices of an actual return so i'll confirm this at Lime Street tomorrow. You'll need waterproofs and some fodd enough for 3 meals and snacks. High energy ones would be best. Oh and a tent if you have one. Otherwise this is a fairly simple and pleasant walk, and good enough to begin an actual established OGC Outdoor division, previously we've had OGCamp, the mission to Skye and a few paintball events so lets get it really started! All intersted contact me asap!
