Finally getting around to collecting a Wood Elf Army after quite a few years break from the hobby, I'm going to post my progress throughout the year on the site. Unlike most collecting threads I have never played a game of Warhammer, only 40k, and that was a long log time ago, so I'm effectivly starting from scratch.
ATM Ihave no elves, but on order I have:
Battallion boxset, 10 strong wardancer unit, mounted lord, 2 lords on foot, mages (1 mounted, one on foot) 5 waywatchers, standard bearer, green knights horse for my mounted lord.
I also had a Dragon left from when I quit the hobby all those years back. This will be more of a painting and theming thread than my legion army thread, which will be more about modelling and playing. Pictures will be posted when my army arrives. Although this is an expensive boundle at once I am not going to be adding too it sparing the odd figure through the year, so this will be hopefully quite a nice look at how an army is painted up from the get go.
Post 2 will be the gluing and cleaning of the models, not very interesting but a first look at my army in the flesh.
Thanks for reading.

I got all the models, but some are going to take a lot more work than I thought, others are made from so many sprues I don't know where to begin, so for my ease I have compiled the army listing from the new Wood Elves army book, that way I can do this a unit at a time. The Army in its full form is 2200 points, and with the extra troops I plan to pick up towards finished the bulk of the army I am aiming for 2500.
Core Units:
12 Glade Guard (Musician, Standard, Champion) - 168 points
12 Glade Guard (Musician, Standard, Champion) - 168 points
8 Glade Riders (Musician, Standard, Champion) - 228 points
12 Dryads (including Branch Nymph) - 156 points
Special Units:
10 Wardancers (Musician + Bladesinger) - 201 points
Rare Units:
5 Waywatchers (+ Shadow Sentinel) - 128 points
Treeman - 285 points
Characters:
Spellweaver (Lv4, Luminescents Sprites) - 275 points
Highborn (Spear, Sheild, Light Armour, Murder Sprites, Forest Dragon) - 499 points
Noble (Battle Standard, light armour) - 92
I'll post pics soon of the models tht are together, for the moment I am neglecting this army for my other due to demand, but its almost done so I'll be on this project soon.

Finally I have got around to posting my progress (however limited) with the second of my two armies, the wood elves. They have somewhat lacked in my interest compared to the Legion because I found a few limitations quite annoying, such as models having to fit on one movement tray together (when I swear to god they aren't designed to) and the lack of afforable bits which look cool. I have however gotten so far into the army, and I ordered a sprue of glade rider legs (so I now have a unit of 12) and a Waywatcher Lord with my foundation paints. Heres the most interesting parts so far: This is the standard Wood Elf Lord designed to be mounted on a plastic elven steed, however I got the mount of the Green Knight and with a shit load of green stuff and filling made him fit (beleive me he didn't want to go on) Also a fair amount of work went into securing the horse to the base I chose to use, it is designed for a standard horse base, but the casting was so off there was no chance of it happening. The spear's flag is from the glade rider's sprue, and the base is 100% covered in green stuff for an uneven effect. This is the command group consisting of the mail order only standard bearer, Waywatcher Lord and Socrcress (who is a brettonian figure but I liked it anyway) This is what will soon be my dragon, it took me ages to get him stuck to the base in a stable manner (loads of green stuff again to cover the massacred base) And finally my Glade Riders. Shown are 8 of them, the other four will be added soon and I'll cut the movement trays up to accomodate a unit of 12. In concern to this army I am more interested in getting it all glued up and modelled before starting to paint it, much unlike my Legion where I have picked out bits to paint already. Next post will probably be the fully assembled force, undercoated and possibly dry brushed. I did however paint one of the Glade Guard:
