Hive tyrants pay 9 points for a Lash Whip, 6 for a Bone Sword, or 7 for a spinefist.
Tyranid Warriors start with two boneswords, but pay 8 points to upgrade one bonesword to a lash whip, or 6 points to upgrade one to a spine fist. Similarly, they pay more for ranged weapons than the tyrants do, after you factor in the cost on the two boneswords, yet their BS is only 4, where the Tyrant has a BS 7.
Are these weapons really that much more effective in the hands of warriors? Or did GW forget to add in the cost of one of those bone swords?

GW didn't always spreadsheet points. It may just be that they felt that given the cost of the basic Tyrant those costs made sense for him.
I agree is doesn't look right.

You cant always just assume the points should be accross the board.
Perhaps they gave the tyrant cheaper weapons as a little bonus to keep his points down, or maybe its simply through tons of play testing.
