Characters are the heros of 40k. They lead and troops follow. Glory to the emperor and all that.
The melta bomb issue is not one of rules interpretation. Clearly the rules state you can plant as many as attacks or hits if opposed. What OGC has done is change the rule and the game mechanics for the weapon in effect they become worthless for characters to take given the strength and versatility of the power fist as well as multiple attacks. I strongly disagree with the change. The rules as stated do not over power characters in any way. I've never lost a vehicle of any type to a melta bomb equiped character.
