I think you may need to look at the costs of the weapons for the Raveners. It looks like the costs were just copied from the tyranid warriors, but those guys are giving up two 6-pt boneswords for those weapons.
What do you think?

Weapons: Same as Warrior but no heavy weapons or whips.
Special Rules: Ignore difficult terrain and obstacles up to 2”s. Cause Fear
Points Cost: 65 points per model.

Geno-fixed meaning no Biomorphs? How much do the weapon upgrades cost?

Just about what I came up with. The reason I have Ravenors as biofixed is simply because thats exactly what they are in the newer editions. They are essentialy warriors morphed for speed already so they are not allowed further mutations.
In regards to strength they are also not as strong as a warrior in the newer additions.

Sort of Tturen, i mean in 4th edition Raveners can deep strike, it's certainly not an ability i see Tyranid warriors ever having.
Most of the Biomorphs in 2nd edition are one of two things, 1) cost too much so noone ever takes them, 2) Far too cheap for what they do, and overpowered to say the least. Just like 2nd edition Wargear! lol ;D
But since we rewrote and repriced all the biomorphs we left them in, simply put our Raveners are more interesting.
I remember fighting a tooled up Fex against my Eldar Avatar (just for something to do), the Carnifex couldn't lay a claw on the Avatar BUT the Carnifex had acid blood, eventually the carnifexes blood killed the Avatar, it was unbelievably stupid.

Beautiful! (as in, "horribly terrifyingly beautiful") Is that a carnifex-based model? It doesn't look quite right for a Hive Tyrant. Where are the wings from?

It is a carnifex model with the wings of the Balrog (the only thing big enough without using those irritating dragon wings that every conversion always has).

How much do those Balrog wings set you back?
A flying Carnifex. Ouch! In my group we limited wings to Tyrants and Tyranid Warriors. And even those are still subject to change, as they haven't been tested yet. I'd REALLY hate to see that thing flying towards my lines! Do you guys allow the Carnifex to carry weapons other than BioPlasma?

Balrog Wings are £6
We don't allow carnifexes to have wings or weapons other than bioplasma, however we have got a hydrafex in our list that can have the weapons, but no wings. This was just a concept model for an entirely different creature, like a giant gargoyle.

My first thought when I saw it was that it looked like an enlarged gargoyle. Wonderful work on this!

Just a question: when you add wings to a tyrant, does it take up two "arms," or do they take up the "legs" of the tyrant? Presumably it's still limited to six limbs, like all other tyranid organisms, right?
