Does the Broodlord replace the Genestealer Patriarch? It basically looks like a bigger genestealer. If not, can you include a Patriarch and a Brood Lord in the same cult? Did the patriarch just get a name change and a stat/point boost? Or is there a good reason for this new unit?

what happened i think is that i didnt realsie that the broodlord was basically the new incarnation of a patriarch. I think the broodlord may have to just be scrapped.

i think that you think correct. anyone can refresh me on patriarchs (never used one in my nids army). i mean stats and rules. cheers.

As a side note you shouldn't be using a patriarch in a Tyranids force, only a genestealer cult, seeing as if he is successful the nids just come and eat him. Just use the Broodlord model as the Patriarch.
