Just about perfect scale. Not half bad looking either. I had expected much worse from leggos so thats a fine job.

I use it all the time! Of course, as I only have one gaming partner right now, there's no problem, as his lego models are far uglier than mine. I've used a previous version (not nearly as cool, and a little too narrow) against a couple other players with no complaints. It just gets oohs and ahhs. And as there are no official GW shops within probably 600 miles, I really don't need to worry about what GW would say.
Laharl, if you will lend me your Baneblade model, I will build a 40k scale lego model. (I always wanted one of those, preferably with a Panthers crew. For a while I wanted to get a basilisk, and replace the guardsmen with marines, too. Only a little illegal, though. <sigh>)

i don't a problem with using lego reproductions unless you start using lego men for troops.
shit i just bid on a baneblade...
does painting really make that much difference? the unpainted baneblade i be bidding on has a current bid of £1, yet painted ones where going between £65 and £160. If all goes well in two days i will have actually bought a 40k model...
nooooooooooooooo!

I have used lego men for servitors, for manning my lego tarantulas, but that's about it. They're the 1st generation Blacktron guys, so as far as lego men go, they're the coolest. I did have an entirely lego Reichlander warband for Mordheim, and everyone at the gaming store said I should do a whole lego Warhammer army, so I tried one out. I had 2 blocks of 8 knights each, 20 swordsmen/spearmen, and two blocks of 10 crossbowmen, plus 6 battlebeast ogryns and a spring-loaded cannon. I also built 2 chariots after I saw how tough ork chariots were, only to discover the empire armies couldn't take them. Good luck on the Baneblade, Laharl! (I hope you didn't bid on the epic ones!)

yes it was epic, i will kill and burn the innards of the twat who invented that piece of shite, still pondering whether i should actaully pay him. Then again it would be rather amusing watching lego men fend off bloodthristers and the like

If you explain to the seller that you thought you were bidding on 40k scale baneblades, he might not give you bad feedback. Just make certain you let him know what you're planning on doing. He might let you go with a small charge to cover the cost of relisting the item.

Yep, thats what I expected all right. Yours on the other is far beyond what I thought possible with Leggos.
