Why does Asurmen have two shuriken pistols? He’s already got a shuriken catapult, and fast shot, (and BS 7) so he doesn’t need them for shooting. He also carries the Sword of Asur, so he only needs one more to get a 2nd attack in close combat. So why carry two? (It's amazing the things you come across perusing the battleBible looking at your new army)

That could be a fair reason. The codex has them mounted on his vambraces (my bro-in-law looked it up for me) so he can use either arm equally easily.
On the other hand, they're no better than the shuriken catapult (not with a BS7), so if his pistol jams, he can switch to his 'pult and still have +1 to hit.
edit: Actually, shuriken pistols don't sus-fire, and thus don't jam. (At least according to the 2nd Ed Wargear book). So I'm still really confused. It's probably just because it looks cool.
