I don't know if a D-Cannon heavy army would work that well... Whoops, I just teleported the Space Marine captain into the back of my line But Eldar are even better then Orks for a Mad Scientist army in my opinion, less likely to blow your own stuff up. Does anyone take what I would consider a Mad Scientist army? All special weaponry and bizzare wargear? It would be interesting to see in action.

On the Eastern Fringe Forum, one of the members said he got mauled by one. I don't mind having a D-Cannon section (Wraithguard, maybe a platform or two), but it would be nice if you could use your ballistic skill, instead of just rolling to scatter twice. I'd prefer one roll to hit, followed by one scatter. But as I'm playing Eldar, you could say I'm slightly biased.

'mad scientist' theme Eldar sounds like a kick to try and play against. Like the Orks you would be left to a great degree in the hands of fate!

Ah! But there in lies the fun! Ever seen a pulsa rokkit go right? Can you imagine a Tyranid army hit by 4 in a row, turn by turn? Can you imagine how rarely it would work! Part of the fun would by misfires, friendly fire and random explosions in an army that would quite likely be just as fun to lose with as win with... I'm talking myself into it here

So for Eldar, You'd be thinking lots of Distort and Vibro cannons then? Dreadnoughts can take D-Cannons, but Vibro's are limited to platforms and Titans, I believe. Wraithcannons are a bit less random than D-cannons (MUCH more likely to hit, auto-penetrate armor, and have a 50% chance or killing or displacing infantry), but of course, only wraithguard can take them. Any other ideas for "Mad Doc" Eldar units?

Warp Spiders! Characters playing with weird wargear and skills too. You only expect to see the 'best' gear in battle, but how about playing with the weird stuff?
