It's recently come to my attention that not only are there alot of terrible errors in the 2nd edition Codex Eldar, but also in the OGC Eldar update.
I will list them, it would be nice if someone could make the changes official.
Ignoring the typos in the file itself.... I suggest the following.
Heavy weapon platforms cannot mount either Shuriken cannons or Eldar Missile launchers.
These are the estimated costs of such platforms:
Shuriken cannon platform = 55 points
Missile launcher platform = 59 points
The Vibrocannon platform should be "Move or Fire", unless you can explain to me how a weapon which transmits it's destructive power through the ground, can be moved forward at the same time as it's firing.
It makes no sense.
The Scatter laser is not a 'support weapon' as listed on page 63 of the Codex, it's a heavy weapon which is why it may be moved 4" and still fire each turn.
The Eldar equivalent of the Lascannon is called the Bright Lance, not the Pulse Laser, the Pulse Laser is a vehicle mounted only weapon and I might add considerably longer and bigger than the Bright Lance/Lascannon.
The Bright Lance should follow the same rules as the standard Imperial Lascannon.
Of course this will include changing the weapon options on the Falcon grav tank, whoever suggested giving it the ability to take two, single sustained fire lascannons should give themselves an uppercut.
The Eldar equivalent of the Heavyplasmagun (the Starcannon) should follow all the rules of the Imperial Heavyplasmagun, there is no reason to change the rules, just the name.
Eldar 'Fusionguns' are in all respects the same as Imperial Meltaguns.
Lasguns... I really couldn't care about, if you want to up their range that's up to you, but there is nothing in that fluff that indicates any enhanced performance apart from increased magazine capacity, when compared to Imperial Lasguns.
The Fire Prism Grav Tank does not mount a "Fire prism" in the turret, A tank floating around with another tank as a turret, theres a great idea lol.
It mounts a "Prism Cannon" in the turret, and whoever did the rules forgot to give it the standard "replace twin linked catapults to a single cannon for X points" option.
Why does the Falcon have a considerably higher Ram value than the Fireprism?
They are the same vehicle chassis, I would imagine the Fire Prism would be the heavier of the two.
AND the Fire Prism is faster?
What's going on here?
They should be exactly the same speed, if not the Fire Prism should be slightly slower.
Same argument for the Wave Serpent, it's broken.... fix it, same statistics as the Falcon.
