please someone, i had a game with Leatherbarrow yesterday and was undone by meltabombs proportionate to the number attacks a model has, something i don't think should apply and i don't think it does in OGC rules. that and retarded close combat rules. I've now played a few games with both rule sets and i can honestly say OGC rules are infinitely superior. I'd also like to play where i don't a get a meagre -1 to hit for moving at fast speed. Yeah i'll play against anything except Necrons with the usual unstable IG.

well, our 40k home is of course Liverpool at the moment, i finally have a copy of the OGC complete rewrite of the rulebook printed out now as well If you can make it down to Orm for about 6ish, charly can grab you on his way through, alternatively if you can make your way up to Liverpool at any point theres usually an opportunity to game, were also starting to do regular OGC Liverpool events on Saturdays and Sundays as well.

and the main thing with our group, we will try our hardest to help you understand the rules, and become a strong player in your own right, rather than just smashing you all over the gaming table like so many power 40k players seem to love doing to newbies.

yes, 4+ unmodified save in the front arc from storm shield, then the usual modified 3+ save on 2D6

I was beginning to wonder if it was just power gaming freakdom or if the Leatherbarrow's had a point (although my faith was restored when I actually used the old combat rules. Slow, boring, no synergy with the rest of the battlefeild as it devolves into hordes of lengthy mini games)

can't make it up today either, presentation must be prepared. stupid uni.
don't remember OGC combat rules, mostly as my army rarely gets into Close Combat, and if it does large shells start landing in it.

you dont need to know the rules that in detail at first anyway, just roughly how to play and what your army is good at doing, and wel tell you all as you go along.. will pick it up slowly

Something you can't do with the old combat rules. Slow boring math attack!
