I haven't heard anything regarding the tournament this year. With Mike in Korea, has it been canceled? If so , that's a shame. Even though I'm too far away to participate, I've always enjoyed reading the write-up. [admin - moved thread from 40k to Tournament 2009 board]

Fear not! I will be back in the UK during August so the Tournament will proceed as usual with several of the 'usual suspects' although unfortunately it may be somewhat small int he number of competitors this year. Nevertheless, myself, Andy Townley (Charly), Simon Gray and Mark Berkley will all be there and we have heard that James Brown and Luke Greensmith will be playing, and also hope Adam May and Monovie Asita confirm entry soon!
I planned to have a painted Tau army prepared but I doubt that. . . . . so my usual Chaos boys will roll out for the eleventh time (unless I pull the finger out). Townley and Berkley are also expected to be wielding fully painted armies for this Tournament!
planning of course is somewhat strange given my absence which is typically at the heart of things, but Berkley, Townley and Gray have been in close collobaration about the whole thing!

Hi, this year I'm considering bowing out, so I'm most likely to keep up with the occasional game due to the wedding in September.
Sorry to be a kill joy.

We aim to keep going until we are all old men playing in a rest home! things have of course died down as people start to realise their lives, I work abroad now, Simon has wedding plans, Mark and Andy are studying for a future career whilst managing full-time work, etc so OGC looks to become much more infrequent than the glory days, but at least once a year we will get together and relive the spirit of gaming! Many of us are still working on army projects etc I hear Mark and Andy have some very special looking armies to make an appearance this summer! and hopefully Simon will be able to find the time in his schedule to participate!

what the hell is that? and why oh why do people write songs about guns? ? i actually anticipate missing the worst (hottest) of Korean summer so UK should be quite cool at the moment I have pollen fever like never before. . . . high temperature, no wind, not many airborne insects (because of the pollution - especially no bees!), had a bit of it last tournament (typical timing) so hopefully I'll be alive and kicking this year!
