All our Tournaments and events have been garbled together with some storyline throughout the years, based around the Sector of Trident. For the first time the background has been summarised for greater cohesion in future plots, note that much of the sector is deliberately un-detailed as to allow for the creation of just about anything in the future. As you will see, the results of events change what happens in the story, also if you have your own specific background to your force, let me know so we can introduce its fate to the sector, kind of like has been done with the Subterra marines stranded on Aridia. Results aren't literal but intend to fit into a loosely cohesive plot. anyway you can view 'what we have been fighting for' in the temporary location... www.mikebrandon.me/Trident.pdfessentially this is OGC's 40k plot!

What of the Tau? Nice little playground you fellows have set up. A fine concept.

thanks, it'll carry on developing for years to come!!!!
the Tau, nor the Dark Eldar have appeared yet in an OGC event, only at regular battles so they have yet to make their mark. In fact, my plans to develop a Tau army will likely feed into their arrival sometime next year. They were set to arrive at Meltdown 3 but I utilised Chaos instead.
One headache will be actually justifying their introduction, the Dark Eldar are easy enough to drop just about anywhere, but the Tau are more of a conundrum as it is not in their general nature to make long range forays, hmmmmm. . . ideas welcome!
Also a lot of the plot has been quite ad-hoc until very recently. For example, Trident was the theme for only 3 events but it seems to work out to tie them in here. Essentially the story is the function of equating all our major events in order and let the results dictate what happens and then find logical reason. Mix that up with players personal army themes and future plans and it writes itself really. Some cool coincidences have happened, for example the Necrons were not supposed to win 'Storm in the Port' yet the actions of 3 Pariah's tearing through dozens of eldar was mad, whence the C'TAN appeared almost as a laugh! The Necrons then winning the next Tournament was a gift in story terms!! Also the theme of constant Imperial retreat and the recent Imperial rally has worked out nicely too. It'd be cool to see if other groups have similar background ideas or stories for their own corners of the 41st millenium!

O'Shovah (Commander Farsight) fought a long running campaign against the Orks that went well into areas of space traditionally forbidden to the Tau and well beyond Tau space. It is rumored that he has broken from the Tau home worlds. As he also once had control of a number of colony ships some of these vessels could then have broken from his own forces and been scattered as a result.
Good luck!

I'm sure as soon as someone brings a Tau army to a tournament, they'll find their way to the sector. Maybe they'll discover that conventional Tau drives can penetrate the Shroud....

The Tau army I want to put together will have a theme similar to the Farsight renegade one. I do like how the Tau have no developed into a more realistic society with the clashes with authority etc so maybe theme like that will fit a Tau army into it
