It has dawned on me that the Astartes could have 5 representatives in the finals this year [charly, brown, luke qualified so far + mark & shaun in the opens] .
What is it with Space Marines? I know they are generally regarded as the beginners army, but come on people, this is becoming a castrated sausage fest!
Of note - out of a possible 26 podium places Space Marines have featured just four times in OGC tournaments. The most common suspects are Chaos [9], Orks [6] & Eldar [4]
If the marines have 5 representatives this year though - that should all but guarantee some podium representation - the marines doubled it last year with 2 of the 3 marine players reaching the top 3.

I like them because they are so flexible, 5000 points of models and I can form just about any kind of army I would care to field. And I really like to mix my armys up, I'd get very bored stuck with the same kind of troops. I do really fancy eldar or imperial guard.. but that also sounds expensive. Maybe something for the future. At least ive used to varied races in the past
