I've by chance read a random battle report between beastmen and dogs of war from WD 299. In this they are using a deployment method wherby the armies go on diagonally. However in the beastmen first turn, a chariot (M 14") charges anther unit that moved 6". The reasoning is that the cavalry moved diagonally which puts it in given the way the armies are deployed, however if you study the actual maps and photo's the cavalry are deployed opposte the chariot and had to wheel past a wood so the chariot COULD NOT have been in charge range, theres just no way, one side must have been cheating, the battle report itself explains this phenomena in a stupid way to do with History students and maths (even though history degree's require a maths based module at every level). Moreover, even if the Chariot was in charge range as the battle report claims, then the cavalry would have had to be in front of the wood, yet the chariot goes beyond were the cavalry started instead, meaning that the chariot and the cavalry were always opposite (otherwise the chariot would have crashed into the wood).
This is an example of how even the staff end up publsihing things whereby people have obviously argued and fought because the warhammer rules are so bad.
