I'm sure Mike said something about getting a PC built for a decent cost, what's going on again?

i did i complete upgrade on mikes pc, basically turned into a new computer in the end, motherboard, processor (althon 3500+), ram (1Ghz), case and graphics card (256mb). if anybody is interested in a desktop computer, either upgrade or one built to order for you i can help, for a lot cheaper than u can get in the shops!

BUILD! BUILD! PM me, I either need to save up (2-3weeks should do of not wasting my wages for a change) or wait until January for UBERHANDOUTATHON! (tm) which is a dead certain. I have two requirements. 1: It can play Guild Wars smoothly, not arsed about the highest resolution. 2: It must be able to go online. Paperweights masquerading as PC's apparently cannot do this.
and 3: It must have a HUUUGE harddrive which isn't for porn, and specifically is NOT for copious amounts of Hentai.
Just one and two will do like, I can always buy an external harddrive so the pr0n is easier to hide.

ok luke.. il get back to u soon with a quote. will you be needing new monitor etc? or u ok with the one u have?
and how huge is huge? do you need a large internal hd as well as a large external? i can get a 320Gb external for around 80 quid. and im looking at a 160Gb internal, would that be large enough?
also what kind of cd drive do you need? dvd writer? (they can read/write dvds and cds)
and finally whats your price range? its always best to get the best system you can.

and james/laharl! a few points/questions...
i wudnt recommend the sempron as thats kinda the budget chip, i wud recommend the dual core athlon xp tho as thats wot i have!
any idea what speed processor u mite need? one i put in my pc is 2 x 4400+, which works out like 2 x 2.2Ghz processors - works for me.
4gb ram is pretty much maxed out at the mo and could make things expensive (cheapest i can find is £280 just for 4Gb ram!), sure u need so much?
drives wise a dvd writer will do all those in one drive, unless u really need 3 drives? also which cards do you need a card reader for exactly?
err graphics, id go for a 512mb one, nvidia chipsets are also a lot cheaper than the radeon ones, maybe not quite a shiny but they do the job.
7.1 audio is no problem.
and again what peripherals will you need? monitor mouse keyboard speakers etc.
any preference on a case? colour/features etc.
i looked on the dell website and couldnt find a system with those specs for much less than £700 so im not sure where uve seen that offer?

The Hard drive was just a joke. I'm after an internet handy PC with a DVD writer that can run Guild Wars, will probably need a the basic everythings because my stock is so shit, and can be the full works for £300-£400 in January.
